It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However they will be held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families.

We are committed to ensuring that Pupil Premium funding is used to:
- Narrow or close the gap between the achievement of the identified pupils and their peers.
- Raise pupil attainment throughout the Nursery provision of a variety of educational support programmes.
- Address underlying inequalities between the identified pupils and their peers with regard to pupil well-being, as well as academic development.
We provide a broad spectrum of interventions to address issues of academic, social and personal well-being development. This is based on the research of the Sutton Trust and the Education Endowment Foundation which can be found at http://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/toolkit/.
As a specific result of Pupil Premium funding we have prioritised our targeting of resources to aid the development of Literacy and Numeracy, as well as provide additional resources to support the sensory development of all our children.
To maximise the effects of Pupil Premium funding we regularly monitor the progress and outcomes of pupils in the Pupil Premium cohort to inform future funding decisions. This is undertaken through a combination of work scrutiny, data analysis, pupil observations and parent/carer and pupil feedback.
